About Aztec Events & Tents
With showrooms in Houston and San Antonio AZTEC is firmly rooted in
Texas but we serve and supply rental orders for large catered affairs and
national events across the United States. Our distribution centers in Ohio
and Alabama also support our national event planning needs.
From humble beginnings in 1982 as a medical and party rental company in
Houston, Texas, AZTEC has rapidly grown into a dynamic industry leader in
the tent and event rental market. In 2007 AZTEC celebrated its 25 year
anniversary as the premier party rental specialist. The medical rentals
were discontinued in 1995, and tent rentals were added, setting the stage
for AZTEC’s aggressive growth. With sound leadership from its strong
management team, AZTEC is currently ranked in the top five event rental
companies worldwide.
AZTEC provides excellent customer service and an ever-expanding tent
and event rental inventory. Through several acquisitions of key rental
competitors, AZTEC created an extremely exceptional customer base in the
nation’s fourth largest city. In 2006, AZTEC moved outside the Houston
city limits and positioned itself in San Antonio to service the entire state of
Texas.
AZTEC employs over 200 rental specialists who manage three complete
showrooms in warehouse facilities with corporate offices that total over
208,000 square feet. AZTEC maintains over 100 delivery vehicles to
provide timely service.
AZTEC’s sister company, Shaffer Sports Events, was acquired in 2003.
Shaffer Sports is a nationally recognized sports production event company
and provides an incredible array of clearspan tents, double decker
structures and on-course temporary sophisticated hospitality entertainment
facilities for over 30 annual PGA, CHAMPIONS, USGA and LPGA golf
tournaments. Events such as THE PLAYERS, the World Golf
Championships, THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola and the
U.S. Open, are part of a distinguished list of Shaffer’s clientele.
